David Millington Photography Limited is a professional photography business which specializes in Wedding Photography, portrait photography, commercial, advertising, studio still life and architectural photography. The photography business is based in Garstang which is convenientally situated 11 miles, 27mins North of Preston and 15 miles, 29 mins South of Lancaster. Garstang is just off the A6 and sits between two M6 Motorway Junctions, Junction 32 to the South which is 10 miles, 15 mins drive and Junction 33 to the North 7 miles, 10 mins away. Being a Wedding Photographer in Lancashire enables David to photograph weddings in the North West with little travel time, The Lake District is under an hours drive away. Lakeland weddings are very popular and one of David's favorite Lakes wedding venues is Storrs Hall Hotel which is on the shores of Lake Windermere.
David's portrait photography is spontaneous, fun, exciting, relaxing and captures natural expressions. Another name for this style of portraiture is lifestyle portraiture. Outdoor portraiture can also be called environmental portraiture or location photography. When David photographs people on location he works with available light commonly known as natural light this provides the most flattering light available and it is free!
David no-longer uses film cameras as the quality of professional digital cameras is simply amazing. He has two professional digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras a Nikon D3 and Nikon D2X he also has two Nikon Speedlights a SB900 and a SB800. The main lens he uses for most of his photography is a Nikon 28-70mm f2.8, which he compliments with a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8, Nikon 12-24mm f3.5 and a specialised architectural lens a Nikon 24mm PC-E f2.8. The Nikon 24mm PC-E lens is a perspective control lens which enables David to keep verticals in allignment without getting distortion.
